COSMETICS USE OF SAFFRON

Saffron is utilized to TREAT ERYSIPELAS, IMPROVE COMPLEXION, FACIAL SKIN, TREAT WOUNDS, ACNE & SKIN DISEASES. Formulations are used in AYURVEDA medicine for the topical treatment of acne. Saffron extract and some of its chemical constituents used in many countries as SKIN CONDITIONERS, ANTIOXIDANTS, COLORANTS & PERFUME. Saffron is rich in Vitamin-C and has Antioxidants, Anti-inflammatory & Antibacterial properties. It also has Anti-mutagenic, Anti-Hypertensive, Anti-tussive, cytotoxic and anticonvulsant.

  • FIGHTING ACNE & INFLAMATION
    Saffron is an ideal ingredient with amazing anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities for treating acne and breakouts. It holds medicinal properties which can help in clearing up acne prone skin. Take 5-6 fresh basil leaves and 10 saffron strands. Soak them in clean water, make into a paste and use on breakouts to clear them.

  • REDUCING PIGMENTATION
    Saffron is an excellent natural ingredient for reducing pigmentation, brown spots and other skin blemishes. Soak a few strands of saffron in clean water. Add this to 2 tbsp of turmeric powder and make a paste. Apply this on your face to reduce pigmentation and dark spots.

  • HEALING SCARS
    Saffron with its healing properties can hasten the process of skin recovery. Applying saffron on wounds or injured skin will make them heal faster. Saffron also helps lighten the marks in the long run. Soak 2 tsp of saffron in water and crush into a paste. Add a few drops of coconut oil and apply directly on the scars. Regular application will heal the scars and help fade the marks.

  • GLOWING SKIN
    Pollution, harsh weather and external factors make the skin dull and lifeless. Regular application of saffron can breathe life into the skin, making it radiant. Soak saffron in half-a-cup of raw milk, and apply this concoction on your face for a natural glow.

  • CLEAR SKIN
    Topical applications of saffron are traditionally used to lighten, brighten, and clear skin. The exact application procedure will vary based on its intended purpose, though. Use a saffron milk mask to hydrate and soften skin. Soak a pinch of saffron threads in about 4 Tbsp (60 ml) of cold milk for several minutes, then splash the mixture onto freshly cleaned skin. After it dries, wash it away with lukewarm water.

  • TREAT ACHE
    Crush 5 to 6 basil leaves with 10 to 12 threads of saffron, forming a paste. Apply the paste directly to the acne. After 10 to 15 minutes pass, wash away the paste with cool water.
